Baylor, Augustana Advance To Wrap Up Thursday's Quarterfinals

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Top-seeded Baylor and fourth-seeded Augustana advanced in Thursday’s evening session to wrap up the quarterfinal round of the 2025 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Championships, hosted at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls.
 
The two teams will meet on Friday evening from the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. CT.

Baylor used two perfect 10s and six event victories to advance past No. 8 seed Limestone, 279.670-246.725, in the early evening.
 
Baylor turned in perfect 10s in the five-element acro and inversion pyramid heats, while also posting a 9.50 in seven-element acro and a 9.875 in compulsory toss.
 
In tumbling, Baylor scored a 9.60 or higher in each of the individual heats, headlined by a 9.925 in the open pass.
 
Limestone, the 2025 Conference Carolinas Champions, had a meet-high 9.775 in the open pyramid, while posting a 9.725 in the aerial tumbling pass and a 9.700 in the open tumbling pass.

In the nightcap, Augustana used a sizable scoring advantage in the pyramid event to gain some separation and continued to add to its lead with narrow wins in each event in the second half. The tournament hosts would come away with a 256.815-248.695 victory in the 4/5 meet against Fairmont State.
 
Augustana’s evening was headlined by a 9.90 in the open pyramid and a 9.80 in the open tumbling pass.
 
In the pyramid event, AU scored a 9.70 or higher in each heat.
 
Fairmont’s evening was headlined by a 9.75 in the open tumbling pass and a 9.725 in the open pyramid heat. The Falcons also marked a 9.675 in the inversion pyramid and a 9.625 in the aerial tumbling pass.
