AZUSA, Calif (Apr. 25, 2026)- Top-seed Baylor claimed its 11th-consecutive National Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championship with a 271.835-266.265 victory over third-seeded Quinnipiac on Saturday evening inside Felix Center in Azusa, Calif.
The Bears broke loose in the tumbling event, closing out the heats with a 56.575-55.600 advantage to earn the 2026 title.
Baylor won four events on the day, including compulsory, acro, tumbling, and team. Despite falling in the pyramid event to the Bobcats 29.65-29.55, Fee Mulkey’s squad posted a season-high 9.950 score in the synchronized pyramid.
Quinnipiac excelled at the bookends of halftime, defeating the Bears in the pyramid and toss event. In the pyramid, the Bobcats saw no score lower than 9.825. Mary Ann Powers’ side remained consistent in the toss event, with all three heats earning a score of 9.35 or better, with the 450 Salto claiming a 9.70 mark.
The 2026 NCATA National Championships will conclude on Sunday morning with Event Finals. The action will get underway at 10 a.m. PT from the Felix Center.
