Quinnipiac, Baylor Advance to Saturday's Championship

AZUSA, Calif. – Third-seeded Quinnipiac and top-seeded Baylor advanced to the 2026 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling National Championship meet with semifinal victories on Friday evening at the Felix Events Center in Azusa, California.
 
Quinnipiac advances to its first final since 2018, while Baylor will come into the meet defending its 2025 national title from Sioux Falls.
 
The championship meet is set for 5 p.m. PT on Saturday from Azusa, California.
 
In a meet that was led by Oregon through five events (174.650-173.750), Quinnipiac outscored the Ducks 87.240-81.360 in team event rally for the win. Quinnipiac won five of the six events, but Oregon opened an early lead after a sizable loss in acro event, 28.200-25.775.
 
In addition to the big performance in team event, Quinnipiac also recorded a pair of 9.90 scores in the open pyramid and six-element tumbling pass. Oregon’s performance was highlighted by five scores of 9.70 or better.
 
Baylor won all six events to advance past Fairmont State, including an 86.060-75.770 scoring advantage in team event. Baylor recorded 11 scores of 9.70 or higher in the meet, including a meet-high 9.975 in five-element acro and a 9.925 in the compulsory toss. The Bears also turned in 9.90 scores in seven-element acro, inversion pyramid, synchronized pyramid and six-element tumbling.
 
Fairmont State had three scores of 9.70 or higher in the meet, including a 9.825 in aerial tumbling, a 9.725 in six-element tumbling, and a 9.775 in open pyramid.
