INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The USA Gymnastics Gymnastics for All (GfA) program will host two national events in 2026, with the inaugural Acrobatics and Tumbling Development Program National Championships set for spring and the annual USA Gymnastics for All GymFest scheduled for summer. It is the first time the program will hold two events in one season, with the mission to expand opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities to participate in both competitive and performance-based gymnastics activities.
New to the calendar, the 2026 Acrobatics and Tumbling Development Program National Championships will be held April 22–26 in La Puente, California, in conjunction with the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Championships. Hosted at the Prime Time Basketball Association sports facility, gymnasts across five levels will compete for national titles.
"The announcement today demonstrates the continued growth of acrobatics & tumbling at all levels,” said NCATA Executive Director Janell Cook. “Combining the youth and collegiate national championship events provides a unique opportunity for fans of the sport to take in both events. We look forward to partnering with USA Gymnastics to deliver a special event experience for all participants."
"Lori Laznovsky, Chevonne White and Tracy Cowan have done incredible work to cultivate the Acrobatics & Tumbling Development Program and to bring these two events together, as well as to create a new training opportunity. We are grateful for their commitment to the sport and their vision for continued development,” Cook continued.
The Acrobatics and Tumbling Development Program is the pipeline to the collegiate varsity sport governed by the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA). The program includes foundational training and national-level competition in acrobatic skills and team events.
Later in the year, the annual USA Gymnastics for All GymFest will take place June 25–28 in Charleston, West Virginia at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. The event will feature Group Performances, the TeamGym National Championships, the USA Gym for Life Challenge and a new Training Camp component tailored for Acrobatics and Tumbling athletes and coaches.
Offering two national events for Gymnastics for All in the same year reflects the continued growth and enthusiasm for inclusive and team-based gymnastics opportunities across the country.
