NCATA Announces Seeds and Matchups for 2023 National Championships

At-Large Event Qualifiers also announced on Monday afternoon

The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) today announced its 2023 National Championship field following the completion of the 2023 regular season and conference championships slate over the weekend.
 
This year’s championship will be hosted by the West Liberty University at the Academic, Sports and Recreation Complex (ASRC). The eight-team, single-elimination tournament will begin on Thursday, April 27 with four quarterfinal matchups. The semifinals are set for Friday evening, while the National Championship meet will be contested on Saturday evening. National individual event finals are scheduled for Sunday morning at 11 a.m. (The full championship schedule is listed below)
 
The defending national champion Baylor Bears have earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will meet No. 8 seed Fairmont State in the 4:30 p.m. quarterfinal that will open Thursday evening’s session at West Liberty. In the 7 p.m. nightcap, fourth-seeded Quinnipiac will compete against fifth-seeded Gannon to wrap up the quarterfinal round.
 
Thursday’s quarterfinal round will begin with No. 3 seed Azusa Pacific against No. 6 seed Limestone at 10:30 a.m., followed by No. 2 seed Oregon battling No. 7 Frostburg State at 1:30 p.m. (All times ET)

In addition to the announcement of the championship field, the NCATA also announced the at-large selections to individual event finals, which are set for 11 a.m. on Sunday morning to wrap up championship weekend. Click here for the complete list of at-large selections.
