NCATA Athlete of the Week: Ali Price, Gannon
Price, a junior top and tumbler from Pittsburgh, Pa., competed in 10 heats and team event for the Golden Knights last week. Her performance was headlined by eight scores of 9.50 or higher, including a perfect 10.0 in the compulsory toss. She also helped Gannon post a 9.90 in the seven-element acro, a 9.85 in the inversion pyramid and a 9.725 in her individual tumbling pass (the aerial pass).
NCATA Specialist of the Week: Madison McAfee, Coker
McAfee, a senior from Chapin, S.C., was a standout base and mid-level base in the pyramid event for Coker last week. Her performance helped the Cobras post a perfect 10.0 in the open pyramid heat. She also competed in the inversion and synchronized pyramid heats, helped Coker record scores of 9.85 and 9.75, respectively.
NCATA Freshman of the Week: Layna Bergeron, Gannon
Bergeron, a base and back from Johnston, R.I., competed in seven heats and team event for Gannon last week. Her performance was highlighted by five scores of 9.80 or higher, including a 9.95 in the compulsory pyramid and a 9.85 in the inversion pyramid. She also helped Gannon post two scores of 9.75 or higher in the toss event during the Knights’ win over Presbyterian.

Abbie Baker (Frostburg State): Baker, a junior from Berlin, Md., competed in 12 heats and team event for Frostburg State last week. Her performance was highlighted by seven scores of 9.50 or higher, including a 9.90 in the open pyramid and a 9.80 in the open toss. She also scored a 9.525 in her individual tumbling pass (the open pass).
Kamryn Kitchens (Baylor): Kitchens, a senior from Kennesaw, Ga., competed in 10 heats and team event for Baylor last week. Her performance was highlighted by six scores of 9.50 or higher, including a 9.95 in the synchronized pyramid and a pair of 9.90 scores in the compulsory pyramid and compulsory toss heats. She also scored a 9.80 in the open tumbling pass.
Honorable Mention (Specialist of the Week)
Riley Chimwala (Baylor): Chimwala, a junior from Plano, Texas, was a standout in the acro event for Baylor last week. Her performance helped the Bears to a 9.95 in the five-element acro and a 9.45 in the six-element acro.
Blessyn McMorris (Oregon): McMorris, a sophomore from Lynwood, Ill., was a standout base in the pyramid event for the University of Oregon last week. Her performance included a 9.95 in the open pyramid, a 9.90 in the inversion pyramid, and a 9.85 in the synchronized pyramid.

Kathryn Coker (Limestone): Coker, a top and tumbler from Spring Branch, Texas, competed in seven heats and team event for Limestone last week. Her performance was highlighted by a 9.90 in the compulsory pyramid and a 9.80 in the inversion pyramid.
Gianna Cameron (Baylor): Cameron, a base and tumbler from South Charleston, Ohio, competed in five heats and team event for the Beats last week. Her performance was highlighted by two scores of 9.90 in the compulsory toss and open toss heats.
