Athlete of the Week: Emily Tobin, Baylor
Baylor’s Emily Tobin, a junior top and tumbler from Templeton, Calif., earned NCATA Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after Baylor’s win over No. 3 Oregon over the weekend. Tobin competed in 12 heats and team event, leading the top-ranked Bears to 11 scores of 9.50 or higher during the meet. Her performance was highlighted by a trio of 9.95 scores in the compulsory pyramid, five-element acro and open pyramid. She also performed well in the tumbling event, scoring a 9.65 in the duo pass and 9.575 in the six-element pass.
Specialist of the Week: Marita Musser, Limestone
Musser, a senior top from Mohnton, Pa., starred as a top in the pyramid event for the Saints. She helped Limestone score a 9.85 in the inversion and open pyramid heats, while also helping her team to a score of 9.60 in the synchronized pyramid. Limestone led by five at halftime following its advantage in the pyramid heat.
Freshman of the Week: Blessyn McMorris, Oregon
McMorris, a freshman base from Lynwood, Ill., competed in six heats and team event for the Ducks over the weekend. Her performance was highlighted by four heats that scored a 9.65 or higher. She helped Oregon to a score of 9.85 in compulsory toss and a 9.80 in the compulsory pyramid.
Athlete of the Week - Honorable Mention
Alyssa Hew (Oregon)
Hew, a senior top, base and tumbler from Markham, Ontario, competed in eight heats and team event to lead Oregon against No. 1 Baylor on Sunday. Her performance was highlighted by four scores of 9.75 or higher, including a 9.90 in the six-element acro and a 9.875 in the open tumbling pass.
Brooke McAfee (Limestone)
McAfee, a senior base and tumbler from Chapin, S.C., starred in 10 heats and team event for Limestone last week. Her performance was highlighted by five heats that scored a 9.50 or higher, including a 9.85 in both the inversion pyramid and open pyramid. McAfee also scored a 9.325 out of 9.75 in the six-element tumbling pass.

Riley Chimwala (Baylor)
Chimwala, a sophomore base from Plano, Texas, served as a solo base in the five-element and six-element acro heats on Sunday afternoon for Baylor, leading the Bears to a 9.95 in the five-element and 9.90 in the six-element heat.
Alexis Weller (Oregon)
Weller, a junior base from Spokane, Wash., competed in all three pyramid heats for Oregon over the weekend. She helped the Ducks to a 9.80 in the open pyramid, a 9.75 in the synchronized pyramid and a 9.65 in the inversion pyramid.

Cameron King (Limestone)
King, a freshman base from Haymarket, Va., competed in six heats and team event for Limestone last week. Her performance was highlighted by four heats that scored a 9.50 or higher, including a 9.85 in both the inversion pyramid and open pyramid.
Ayanna Manning (Converse)
Manning, a freshman base and tumbler from Abingdon, Md., competed in nine heats and team event last week. Her performance was highlighted by a 9.95 in open pyramid and a 9.85 in compulsory pyramid. She also competed in the open tumbling pass and scored an 8.675 (out of 9.10).
