Baylor University remained in the No. 1 spot in the second edition of the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Rankings that were released on Wednesday evening by the association's championship committee.
In fact, the only change of the week came with a flip at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots with Fairmont State and Converse.
Baylor University sits at No. 1, followed by Oregon in second, Azusa Pacific in third, and Quinnipiac in fourth. Baylor and Oregon will meet for the second time this season in a matchup of No. 1 vs. No. 2 on Sunday in Waco. Baylor won the first meeting of the year, 285.150-277.355, earlier this season in Eugene. APU has wrapped up its regular season record at 4-2, while fourth-ranked Quinnipiac will wrap up the regular season on Saturday against Alderson Broaddus.
Fairmont State jumped to No. 5 in the rankings this week after recording a season-high 278.680 during a tri meet against Davis & Elkins and West Virginia Wesleyan last Saturday. Converse is right behind Fairmont State at No. 6. The Valkyries improved to 4-1 with a win over East Texas Baptist last Saturday, and will return to action on Saturday, April 6 against Limestone.
The final four teams remained the same in this week's rankings, with Hawaii Pacific at No. 7, Gannon at No. 8, Glenville State at No. 9, and King University at No. 10.
The top eight teams in the final NCATA Rankings will receive a bid to the NCATA National Championships, hosted by Baylor University on April 25-27. The final championship seedings will be announced on Monday, April 15 on the NCATA social media accounts and at theNCATA.org
