2013 NCATA National Championships
(Hamden, Conn. – Quinnipiac University)
Acrobatics and Tumbling has created a unique start difficulty system and a scoring/evaluation system that serves the officials and coaches in the evaluation of the new sport.
The Acrobatics and Tumbling judges use a guide designed to help be as objective as possible when tabulating scores to rank athletes and teams for the purpose of determining the winner of a competition. There is always room for individual preference and interpretation, but the standards as described in the NCATA Rules and Policies and Code of Points must be followed.
The purpose of the manual is to provide trained acrobatics and tumbling judges with guidelines for evaluating the routines, heats and elements according to NCATA Rules. This manual is also designed to educate coaches about how their athletes’ routines, heats and elements are judged.
Officials must be familiar with the full versions of NCATA Rules and Policies and NCATA Code of Points.
The NCATA welcomes qualified judges to join the organization and be a part of a very unique opportunity. Contact the National Officials Chairman for more details: joey.delany@thencata.org
